E-commerce shop development for retailer of marble, granite and natural stone cleaning products
About the Project
The original Marble Kare Products website was built on Shopify and needed a full revamp. Since certain functionality shown in the design mockup provided by the client were not built-in Shopify features and/or not possible using a Shopify app, I needed to figure out alternate ways to implement these features.
Key Features
Some of the key features set up in the Marble Kare Products website include:
- ‘MK Finder’ product filter tool. Visitors choose three different attributes to find matching products. Shopify product tags are appended to url on next page to display products that match chosen tags
- Ability to add products to the cart from category pages
- ‘Use it Anywhere’ section on product page that pulls matching tags to show surfaces product can be used on
- Product reviews integrated in product page using Yotpo app
Results
The redeveloped Marble Kare Products website has a more intuitve navigational flow, allowing visitors to easily find product information and make well informed purchasing decisions
- With the MK Finder tool, potential customers now have a way to quickly locate products that fit their needs, increasing the chance of sale.
- Individual product pages, with postive reviews and product usage specs, leading higher purchase conversions
- 84.5% increase in online shop revenue (2014 to 2015)
